Yes, brooch bouquets, they are trending now... and oh so beautiful. What a modern idea for such a traditional piece of the bridal details. Just take that bridal bouquet and add a little personal, vintage, retro, or completely modern pieces and you have a keep sake that can tell a story about who you are, your past and future. So many ways to dress a bouquet out, all over, a few, or one special one, you decide, any way you do, it is special.

Lets not forget this great DIY idea as well, paper flowers... from the bridesmaid bouquets to the groomsmen's boutonniere. It doesn't get any prettier and more creative than this. Thanks to Mandee Gable and her creativeness. She not only created these bouquets but made them part of her special day.

Rock the Dress

Everything Lovely has recently started something new..."Rock the Dress"...and we are having a blast!

Similar to trash the dress, but different in it doesn't just pertain to wedding dresses, although we include wedding dresses..we like to encourage all ages and dresses to "Rock it out".

Brittney, was the perfect girl, in the perfect dress on the perfect location! And she rocked it! Now the whole concept for this shoot was this tree, love this tree. It was a beauty before we added our own beauty. What a great contradiction from the long flowing dress to the long gnarly roots of this tree.

And of course we could not forget about the water... and yes it was cold, but we had fun wading through it trying not to slip!

We have shot 3 "Rock the Dress" sessions and are adding more...so come be apart, you will have a blast and look just like a magazine cover.... :)

Dave and Kristin Peters are two of the sweetest people to be around. What a great wedding, we got to ride the trolley, through Atlanta from the church to the Vinings Club.

At the reception which was at the Vinings Club, they had a great view of the skyline of Atlanta, Georgia.

How fun would it be to do something a little different for your bridal bouquet? I love fresh flowers of all kinds, but just as equally I love vintage jewelry! So what about a vintage brooch bouquet? They are the hottest trend right now for a non traditional bridal bouquet!

You could use grandmoms brooches or have family and friends bring a brooch to your showers. Go to anitique markets and pick out the perfect ones for your custom bouquet. There are alot of specialty shops that are making the brooch bouqets as well. You could just add a few to your flower bouquet. So many options and the choice is really up to you.

I love this idea..umm think I might take some of my vintage jewelry and go antiquing and make me a bouquet for a vase in my office...yea, everything brooch, everything vintage, everything beautiful.

Everything is Lovely... Healthy... and Wellness in Senoia

Wellness should be apart of our lifestyle... Right?

Lisa Mullis and Anita Pryor do just that. They are nurse practitioners that are making sure that we know and understand the benefits of being well and living a life that can be maintain through wellness. They offer wellness support for the person who wants to maintain youthfulness and vibrance at any age!

So they contacted me for some commercial shots for their advertising. Our focus was for the images to convey health, and when we are healthy we are happy therefore happy and healthy bring wholeness and of course we achieve that through wellness. That was easy to convey considering we were photographing Lisa and Anita, they both believe in what they do and it didn't hurt they are both beautiful in body and spirit... and that came through.

Of course we couldn't keep it all with the lab jackets and stethoscopes...

So we changed up a little and these are the results..

My favorite saying is just one more shot...lol and so we ended with just a few more shots... But it was so easy with Anita and Lisa. As we continued to shoot in Senoia where I shoot frequently. The wonderful guys at "The Bear" radio station saw us and we peaked their interest! So be listening for their interview. "The Bear" is located in Senoia. It is 2 to 3 times a week we are there shooting, bringing clients in from north Atlanta and as far out as South Carolina. There is so many venues, we know we will get a different shot each time and keep the images we shoot original, fresh and unique which exemplifies our style. The local businesses are fantastic and our clients just fall in love with the quaint town of Senoia.

It was hot, hot, hot! And Brittney and Eric were so much fun despite the high temperatures. We really tried

to beat the heat with an early morning session but it was still quite warm.

Britteny and Eric are such an easy going couple, we laughed, glistened and got some awesome shots!

Dave and Kristen are just simply an easy going and a fun loving couple. We had a Sunday afternoon session. It just happened to be the weekend the weather was so terrible, but not for this session. And because of the uncertainty of the weather we had the whole place to ourselves...

So we moved around the venue quite effortlessly, which is exactly why I love this couple, they are effortless.

Of course we didn't want to leave out one of their favorite spots...the Chattahoochee River... We took some time to admire nature and how well she displays her beauty and Dave and Kristen fit right in. Even climbing a tree for me. And if it had

been a little warmer they being an adventurous pair I know would have gotten right in the river... maybe next time guys! lol

I love this family, not a dull moment and how could it be... 4 daughters and a great grandson..and of course the parents. They truly enjoy life! We truly enjoyed them. Everything Lovely offers discounts to anyone in the ministry as our way

of giving back! Bishop Micheal and Brenda Strickland's church is Victory Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Mcdonough, GA.

How could we resist... when this little joy knelt down beneathe the cross because he had watched as his grandfather Bishop Micheal Strickland have a few shots made around the cross. He wasn't too sure of me at first, but in a few moments of hugs and tickling we were pals.

Of course anyone in ministry knows that when your parents are Bishops, Pastors and Ministers...the whole family is involved... Beautiful ladies in purple...the color of royalty, leadership and wealth. And this family is definately wealthy in love, kindness and laughter!

We look forward to working with more ministries in the future... its ELP's way of giving back to those serving so dilligently.

What a way to begin the New Year, with a wedding, and not just any wedding but a fun, beautiful and one filled with much love. Ryan and Kristen were married at St Matthews in Tyrone.

A Winter Wonderland was the backdrop and love was the theme. The service itself was warm and loving including parents and all those attending taking part in the ceremony.

Kristen's dress was simply gorgeous! Just as she is. We actually did a bridal session back in the beginning of

fall when the weather was still very warm and friendly. She vogued it out below.

After the ceremony all went to Glendalough Manor for a fun filled night of dancing. The dance floored was filled

the entire time with old and young alike.

Ryan is a real sweetheart. They are a great couple. We wish Ryan and Kristen the very best as they

start their new adventure.

Relaxed, laid back, fun, beautiful and 6 of them! LOL The Sullivans were a delight. No shortage of personality in this family. We took shots of all of them together, separate, together with this one and then that one, until we just ran out of time. But a fun time we had...

Brack, Sheila and family drove aways to have their family lifestyle session. We met them and took them even more into the country side. But, we had great weather, brilliant fall colors and lots of smiles.

These are just 2 of my personal favorites the first to me says here we are, walking into our future, maybe different paths but confidently, fierce yet still connected.

And with this just great smiles, great colors and a great family!

I look forward to next year when we get to do it again... :) My wheels are already turning to what we can do for our session next time...

Family, Fall and Fun

Family, fall and fun was what Ryan, Lisa and Shawn were about. What a delightful family. Lisa has a great laugh, and well Shaw is lets say the star! I promised we would pile on dad at the end if he would help me get some great shots. Well, here is the end and he is working the Now what do I get mom, which cracked Lisa up, but it made one of my favorite shots. Of course dad is great being the foundation of our pile on.

We had just a bit of overcast which is usually really good, but we were in among the trees and wanted that sun to just peak through. For one brief moment it did and we got a great shot of Ryan but we also got a great shot of the whole family, which I am still working on. lol

Now the star!!! What a pleasure to work with Shawn. He is just a real cutie, and has a personality to match.

Thanks guys, I can't wait til next time....

Scott and Stacie are such a great couple. We had perfect weather and a perfect day to shoot their engagement session. Fall was in the air, but fun and lovin set the tone.

We kicked up our heels, and kicked them off!! I an not sure how Stacie walks around all day in high heels, but she does and does it well.

I am so glad to be apart of this moment in their lives. I can't wait for their wedding, I know we are going to have a blast and get some great shots of these two!

Sometimes, children can be hard to capture in a still photograph. They are so busy and active, and you don't want to miss anything they do. Children can give such honest expressions and emotions. I love to capture a child being a child. Andrew was a fun, active and a beautiful little boy! He and his mom were visiting friends down here in the south so he was out of his normal routine and missed a nap. But you would never have guessed it, he went with the flow and mom was amazing with him. She just let us take pictures and do what we do. And of course, I am going to comment on his eyes... blue as the sky and as big as the ocean! Do you remember the precious moment figures and dolls? He looks like one here...but he is the real precious moment... :)

We wanted to capture some editorial moments of he and his mom just hanging out and playing.

We had to keep sliding him back because he would scoot right up to the camera so fast, I could not keep it focused...lol

Ultimate Seniors...This is your moment in Time..

How do you want to be remembered? Seniors pictures sure have changed since I was in school, I know that was only a few years ago..(wink, wink). These are definitely not your mothers high school senior pictures, and boy are we glad! Everything Lovely wants Seniors to show the world who they are and where they are going.

Nimi, is most certainly going places... with her infectious personality I knew just by speaking with her we had to use a lot of color in her shots. She is such a delight. I had such a great time photographing her of course that was the easy part... did you look at her...lol

Molly a Senior at Pike County High School. A bit quieter but just as amazing and beautiful. We had fun, and got yelled at while shooting on RR tracks,(We don't know what they were yelling but I am sure they were yelling at Molly...lol ... but we just kept shooting and ignored whoever that was...I don't think we want to know...lol

Nimi and Molly both play soccer, for Pike County High Varsity so when they start their season, I will be there to get some awesome action shots of these girls.... so our story will be continued...

Elijah and Isabella

Elijah and Isabella are a photographers dream come true! They listened, took instructions well and were simply incredible. Of course mostly Isabella posed with out me telling her one thing...lol... Elijah and Isabella were such a delight to work with not to mention they are gorgeous. They both should be in magazines and modeling!!! Most of all they are sweet as can be.

I can't wait til I can photograph them again, and again, and again , and again... lol :)

Hello High Heels

Who doesn't love a great pair of high heels or several.... And what woman doesn't have a ton of shoes in her closet. I mean you can wear a great outfit and kill it will the wrong shoe! Right? As womenn we walk in so many different shoes; the shoes of a wife, sister, friend, mother, daughter, aunt, boss, employee, entrepreneur and much more in way cute shoes.

This weekend Pastor Shunnae McBride of Tabernacle of Praise Int. presented High Heels in High Places Ladies Conference. High Heels brought anticipation, expectation, information, and revelation. High Heels allowed women from all walks to take steps of faith to their high place. To go deeper and feel connected with the one who longs to get your feet moving in the right direction. The High Heels in High Places conference encourages women to keep looking up and keep aspiring to go higher.

And so on an inside tip...High Heels in High Places is going on the road, so what are you waiting for get your stilettos on and get those high heels in high places.

What a great time we had in Savannah, the city is full of charm, architech and oh yea hauntings..lol. We shot on the beach at Tybee Island this past weekend for these sessions. Classic white shirts and jeans for family and seniors. Such great light. The dunes were a perfect backdrop with sand between our toes and the salty breeze blowing in our face.
The purpose of the families for these sessions were for Christmas gifts, cards, gallery wraps and surprises so we will not be showing the images at this time. But we did get some great shots not only on Tybee Island, but also on the historic River Street and shops. We are looking forward to going back in the Spring to create more heirloom portraits.

Community...

This weekend we took a little ride to Ohio, to see a man about a horse. But we so got more than that. We got to hang out with the Amish, and really spend a day or so with them.   Oh, what wonderful people we met. I know pictures would have been really great, but they are not really in favor of their picture being made and especially by someone that didn't know. But I can tell you this, by the time we left I was told treat this as your home...take as many pictures as you would like when you get to come back... so needless to say I will be back and I will have pictures!

What a sense of real community it was to hang with these guys. Even though they seem to have a culture that is much different than ours, they don't mind allowing you to be you.   They seem not to judge but to have a sense of acceptance and make you feel so comfortable. Would I want to live like they do? NO!!! But I wouldn't mind living in a community where they are.

Hard workers, very plain homes but impeckably clean, and the stables, just as clean!   Knowledgable, and kind.

By the time we left we were calling each other friends.... can't wait for our next visit. I know we will pick right up where we left off, like we never left.

I have the awesome pleasure of photographing people..! All kinds of people, and all sizes of people. The truth is we as people spend alot of time getting ready and looking good to be on camera.

We dress it, trim it, shave it, bathe it, uplift it, perfume it, beautify it, augment it, adorn it, medicate it, color it, tan it, reduce it, enlarge it,exercise it, feed it. And there is nothing wrong with that...BUT...no pun intended... we are not our bodies! Yep, we are not our bodies, and that's what makes one of the things photographing people so fun... not how beautiful, cute, rugged, handsome ( and I believe they all are) but who they are. Of course we pose you in the most flattering way and light you up so that you look amazing but can I capture them, can I get them to just be them! Yes, its a challenge sometimes, some are easier than others, but I love a good challenge. And I love looking through the lens and seeing something perhaps they didn't know was there and then let the image write it down!

Family Time

Family time...fun time. The VanLandeghem's were such a fun family. We made the photo shoot a nature walk for the kids so they would stay interested....may have back fired...lol there were plenty of distractions.
The kids were great...it was so hot but they were troopers. And as for their parents, we let them get in the picture too. What a great, beautiful family. The closeness they share is obvious.

Sonny and Sonja are such a great couple. You can clearly see the love they feel for one another. We were just a bit concerned about the weather, but it held out and we had a lovely day for a wedding with a beautiful couple. Sonja has a contagous smile and Sonny is quiet but so very kind. Not your traditional bride but still a bride indeed. I love a traditional weddings and everything that goes with it. But, it's nice to step out of the box from time to time. Turn and Landy's wedding was just that. She wore a Celadon green dress that stood out with her lovely warm skin tones. And the groom, although in a tux took off his A Town hat just long enough for the ceremony. I liked the hat.... :). Elp wishes Turn and Landy many years of happiness.

Even though we don't live where is snows often...Its always fun to enjoy a little of the white stuff. I hope everyone got out and enjoyed it while it was here. It went so quickly. A few of these shots were not far from the studio, and could be post cards they are so nice. So, look around your area and look for different angles, you never know what you will find. These were shots of a clients estate that is for sell and we wanted to showcase how beautiful his property is in the southern snow.

If you have an evening wedding, consider taking your wedding party, family, and bride & groom pictures before the ceremony to take advantage of the beautiful natural light outdoors! A special "first sight" meeting can be arranged for you and your fiance. Less lag time between ceremony and reception for your guests. Pictures can still be taken inside the church (if applicable) but do not need to take so long."
